Library

As students pursue academic success, the library is one of the best places to go. St. Vincent’s College at Sacred Heart University students will find resources for study and research, along with a helpful staff and welcoming space, at the Ryan Matura Library. The Ryan Matura Library is located on SHU’s main campus; check their website for hours.

How to Use the Library

The library provides access to thousands of reference materials, including specialized materials in the fields of nursing and allied health. These resources are online and in print. Still more digital resources can be accessed by students on the library website from anywhere, any time of day.

Feel free to visit the library to consult with a librarian, who can provide support with:

  • Finding scholarly resources
  • Navigating library data bases
  • Borrowing course reserved materials
  • Picking up Interlibrary Loans from outside organizations
  • Asking questions about referencing/sourcing materials

Discover your new favorite study spot at the Ryan Matura Library. Efficient studying takes place in a location of high focus and concentration, that is absent of distractions. The library is that location for a number of students.

Other Library Resources

In addition to the Ryan Matura Library, the SHU College of Health Professions has a number of online resources that will be useful to SVC at SHU students.
