Certified Nurse Aide

The Certified Nurse Aide Certificate offers you training in patient care procedures and protocols and preparation for Connecticut’s CNA license exam to qualify you for entry-level employment as an assistant to a healthcare team.

Earning this certificate also makes you eligible to further your skills in acute/hospital patient care, data processing, basic phlebotomy and electrocardiograms with the Patient Care Technician certificate.

Coursework includes: Basic nursing skills and CPR certification. Practical application of these skills is attained through clinical placement at extended care facilities.

Employment Opportunities: CNAs provide patient care and support medical staff in long-term care facilities and hospitals.
